Project GM-TV: SAB Publicity, Grosmercat & SineQuaNon join forces.

SAB Publicity is proud to announce the collaboration with “Grosmercat”, national leader in the cash&carry wholesale sector (part of MIQUEL ALIMENTACIÓ GRUP / Figueres) and the SineQuaNon Advertising S.L. (Barcelona).

The project is a national covering DS-network called “GM-TV” and includes the installation of over 700 DS-systems in the 56 GM stores in Spain.

Depending on the size of each individual store, an average of 12+1 GM-TV units with 47”inch screens will be installed:

• 12 GM-TV units on the strategic most interesting PoS/PoI in the food sales section.
• A minimum of 1 unit in the cash area to provide general information, news and local advertisement.

GM would like to meet the future by offering a technologically advanced and highly flexible signage system within its stores. The system will not only announce special offers, prices and client information but will also provide companies and service providers with a medium to advertise their products or services at high value Points-of-Sale.

The service will be tailor made to the contracting client requirements who will be able to take full advantage of the system on a local, regional or national scale.

GM-TV is another tool to continue GM’s commitment to develop and use green technology to support the environment. Through the use of GM-TV, Grosmercat will be saving energy by drastically reducing the need for printing posters not to mention the savings in paper and ink.

Installation is scheduled to start on 1.st of September 2009 in Cataluña.

An official presentation of GM-TV is planned for November 2009.
